Where the free tier actually ends

Stated plainly, because a paywall that arrives unannounced is worse than a price. The calculators and templates are open to anyone. The compatibility scan needs a free account and you get one of them — the cap is per account rather than per device because a scan spends real model tokens. Generating and exporting a resume is what you pay for.

  • Free: GS, Title 38, AcqDemo and military buyback calculators — no account, nothing submitted
  • Free: Federal resume and Schedule A letter templates (DOCX) — no account
  • Free: Every guide, pay table and eligibility checker on the site
  • Free account: Compatibility scan against a USAJOBS announcement — free account required, 1 scan per account
  • Paid: Generating a tailored, OPM-compliant resume for an announcement
  • Paid: PDF and Word export of a generated resume

Questions about what you are buying

What does one posting buy?
The unit is one posting unlock: a tailored resume bound to a single USAJOBS announcement. The credit is spent when that version is generated, and both the PDF and the Word export then follow the unlock — the download format is not metered separately. You get unlimited AI rewrites of that posting for 14 days; after that the posting stays exportable and manually editable forever, and only further AI regeneration stops.
What happens after my free compatibility scan?
Free scans are capped at 1 per account, for the life of the account — not one per month and not one per announcement. The scan tells you what the announcement requires and what your resume does not yet evidence; it does not produce a download. To generate and export a tailored resume you buy a posting.
Is this a subscription?
No. Every option is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel and no renewal date. The site does not sell a monthly or annual plan at any price.
Do the postings I buy expire?
No. An unused posting stays on the account until you use it, which matters because announcements open and close on their own schedule. The 14-day AI-rewrite window starts when you unlock a specific posting, not when you pay.
Can an SES purchase be used on an ordinary GS announcement?
Yes. An SES credit costs more, so it can pay for a standard posting unlock. It does not work the other way round: a standard credit cannot cover an SES unlock. Which deliverable you get is your choice at generation time, not something guessed from the announcement text.
What if the generation fails after I have paid?
The credit is returned to your account automatically. A credit is only consumed by a posting you actually received.
Can I get a refund?
There is a 14-day money-back window. It is deliberately the same length as the AI-rewrite window: a refund period that outlasted the rewrite window would let a buyer collect the finished resume and then refund it.
Do I need an account to use the calculators or download a template?
No. The pay calculators and eligibility checkers run entirely in your browser and submit nothing, and the resume templates download without a sign-up. An account is only needed for the compatibility scan and for generating a tailored resume.

Payment is handled by Polar, so no card details reach this site. How the resume you upload is handled is set out in the privacy policy, and what the product refuses to write for you is on the about page.
